Context

Families building a home ask the same thing every week: “what’s the status?” Most builder websites don’t help them before or after they sign.

The problem

Package details are vague, and progress updates happen through calls and scattered WhatsApp photos.

Objective

Explore a builder website that makes packages easy to compare and gives each customer a private timeline of their home being built.

Constraints

Fictional builder with sample prices, figures and illustrations. The portal is shown as a design preview, not a live system.

Approach

• Per-sq.ft packages with inclusions listed line by line
• Project stories with plot size, timeline and budget range
• A portal timeline: weekly photos, notes and the next milestone
• Enquiry form that composes a WhatsApp message

Technical notes

Static front end for the concept. A production portal would add authentication, per-customer data isolation, image storage and an admin upload flow.

Outcome

No measured outcome to report. This is a concept website, not a client deployment. We only publish results we have actually measured.

What we learned

Transparency features (itemised packages, visible progress) are strong trust signals for high-value purchases.

Next-step ideas

Prototype the admin upload flow and test the portal timeline with a few home buyers.
